BASING WORKS / HOBBY GUIDES

Resin Quality & Licensing

How we print, prepare and check resin basing details — and the creators behind the designs.

Our resin details are printed, prepared and inspected in-house so you can spend less time sourcing tiny details and more time painting.

How we make your basing bits

  1. High-detail resin printingWe use the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra printer and Elegoo ABS-Like 3.0 resin for our in-house basing pieces.
  2. Wash, dry & cureParts are cleaned and UV-cured as part of the production workflow.
  3. Inspect & packPrinted items are checked for obvious defects, then packed for your modelling project.

Most in-house printed basing bits are made to order. Please check the item listing or checkout for processing and dispatch information.

We remove print supports as thoroughly as possible and inspect each piece before packing. Tiny support contact marks, faint layer lines or minor cosmetic traces can remain, particularly on intricate designs. Your parts will be supplied unpainted. Some listings show the sculpt creator's original digital render as a clear design reference, not a photograph of painted stock.

Creators and commercial printing rights

Basing Works produces physical prints from designs that we have permission to sell, as well as selected openly licensed designs. The applicable designer is credited on the relevant product pages. Purchasing a physical print does not grant permission to redistribute its digital design files.

Follow and support the original designers

Explore the creators’ own stores and profiles to see more of their work. These are external websites, separate from Basing Works.

We also credit creators of openly licensed files where applicable, including CC0 designs. All rights in third-party sculpts remain with the respective creators.

Preparing and handling cured resin

Read our Resin Safety Guide (PDF) for practical handling and preparation guidance.

  • These small hobby components are not toys. Keep away from children and pets and never swallow or chew them.
  • Use care when clipping delicate pieces or trimming residual support marks.
  • Avoid inhaling cured resin dust when sanding or filing. Use suitable respiratory protection and ventilation; wet sanding helps reduce airborne dust.
  • Wash hands after dusty work and clean the work surface. Avoid high heat and open flames.
  • Prime and paint the resin as you would other miniature components. Paints, glue and bases are not included unless listed.

Print-to-order: Select Small, Medium or Large on individual product listings to see the exact pack quantities. The count refers to printed pieces, not a change in miniature scale. Where a printed cluster is one joined piece, it counts as one piece.
